SonoDur-R (Rack): 19” desktop device for automated UCI hardness testing

SonoDur-R is a 19” desktop device for fully automated, 100% checks of mass-produced parts. The measurement system enables rapid process monitoring (at one-second intervals) of mix-up testing procedures.

Its main areas of application are serial parts following heat treatment, surface processing or measuring coating hardness on gravure cylinders with highly-selective low-load motorised probes.

Thanks to its USB- and fully-isolated, digital I/O interface, the SonoDur-R ‘Rack’ is currently the world’s only automated UCI hardness measurement system which is fully system-compatible. Setpoints allow factors such as good/bad sorting gates to be controlled directly.

The SonoDur-R combines all the benefits of the SonoDur2 mobile hardness testing device with the requirements for integrating a device into a fully-automated process line.

Usable probes

All SonoDur manual and motorised probes can be deployed immediately without restrictions via a USB port thanks to high-resolution, digital signal processing technology.

Components of the set (without hardness measurement probe):

  • SonoDur ‘Rack’ hardness testing device for automatic hardness testing on the production line, WIN CE operating system, 19” housing for built-in table with handles
  • SONO-RM, 3m probe connector cable
  • SONO-NG-24V, power supply unit 115VAC-230VAC/24VDC
  • SONO-Stylus, stylus pen
  • SONO-CD, USB product incl. instruction manual
