Visit us in Hall 5, Stand 5434 – we present our new version of the SONO-S-Probe
From our base in Reutlingen, we produce high-quality measuring equipment for rapid and reliable hardness testing on metallic components and materials.
The UCI hardness testing method has proven its worth for mobile, on-site hardness testing as well as automated mass production. NewSonic offers manual and motorised probes with various test forces from 1N to 98N which work in accordance with the UCI method and can be used for almost all quality assurance and production applications.
In addition to our portable standard products, we also offer special solutions and testing equipment for automated hardness measuring on the production line.
The NewSonic team will be glad to partner with you and assist with any questions you may have concerning hardness testing We would be happy to advise you on location to find the optimal solution for your testing needs.
Do you have questions?
We will be happy to advise you.

Hardness testing is one the most used methods for determining the mechanical properties of materials. It serves as quality control and helps characterise material properties. Since hardness is not a physical dimension, but rather a response to a specific test procedure, there are a range of hardness scales on offer, such as Vickers, Brinell, Shore and Rockwell.
Our portable hardness testing devices use the UCI and Leeb methods, correspond to applicable DIN/ASTM standards, and enable quick and easy hardness measurements on location, even in difficult to reach testing positions.
Using ultrasound devices to measure wall thickness is a recognised testing procedure in the field of nondestructive material testing. It is frequently used to assure quality in production and operations. Ultrasound can be used to measure the thickness of almost all materials, such as formed metal parts, plastics, rubber, glass, ceramic and composite materials. Testing is also possible if the test specimen can only be accessed from one side, such as in the case of pipes, containers and bottles.
Our compact and user-friendly precision wall thickness measurement devices and corrosion thickness measurement equipment produce exact and repeatable measurement results.
Our experienced team of specialists is at your disposal for all issues concerning nondestructive testing and material testing in general.
We develop and manufacture portable hardness testing devices for our clients around the world using the latest technology and with a focus on the metal production and processing industry (machinery construction, vehicle constructions, aeroplanes, power plant construction, chemicals, off-shore, maintenance companies, etc.).
The company’s founder and employees have many years experience in the field of mobile hardness testing based on the UCI method (ultrasonic contact impedance) and the LEEB method (rebound hardness testing).
